Funding for research

Earlier this autumn, Oslo Diabetes Research Centre announced a call for applications on occasion of the center’s 30th anniversary in 2020. The total funding available for this call was NOK 1.000.000.

We received several applications. The applications have now been evaluated by external peer reviewers and six projects are awarded funding:

Sara Hammerstad:
Virus and Pathogenic Mechanisms in Autoimmune Diseases - Towards Cure and prevention

Julia Onsrud Opsahl:
Multi-ethnic studies of body weight and gestational diabetes mellitus in EPIPREG – the Epigenetics in Pregnancy project

Hanne Scholz:
Preserve beta cells in new onset of type 1 diabetes by treatment with decidual stromal cells. Establish the rationale for interventional phase I/II clinical trial              

Torild Skrivarhaug:
Does normal blood glucose (Time-in-Range) preserve insulin production in children with newly diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes?
